RISE & SMILE: Bless Those Who Curse You!

Hey Family! RISE & SMILE is back!

In this video I speak on the importance of not only forgiving people who wrong you, but going the extra step to bestow a gift upon them. Too often we find it difficult to forgive people and we’re plagued with anger and contempt. We can release those negative feelings and be filled with peace and joy…if we’re willing to follow Christ’s instruction.

Let go of the pain, hurt and anger. Release those feelings to Christ and do as He instructs you to do. Forgive and bless those who curse you.

If you’ve ever experienced a situation where you forgave someone and felt peace and joy afterwards, please share your experience in the comment section. Thank you!

Words of Encouragement: What’s In Your Dwelling? (Part 4)

dwell

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

As we bring the topic of “Whats In Your Dwelling” to a close, lets first reiterate what the discussions up to this point have been. When you look at the word “dwelling” you begin to think about a “house”. Then if you are thinking about a house you have to know that a house has more than one room. What the enemy does is try to make you feel or think that once you’ve cleaned out one room your entire house is clean, and this is not so. When you begin to look at the things the enemy does often there is a pattern.

Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Since we have been on the topic of “Whats In Your Dwelling”, we have been able to look at various things. Mostly things that reveal the enemy’s tricks. When you look at the word “dwelling” in its entirety, you begin to think about a “house”. Then if you are thinking about a house, you have to know that a house has more than one room. What the enemy does is try to make you feel or think that once you’ve cleaned out one room your entire house is clean; yet, this is not so. Think about your physical house. Sometimes the kitchen is clean and the bathroom is not, or your bedroom is clean and your living room is not. This is what happens to us in many ways. We clean one area of our life and think we have solved the problem, but dwelling is living and living is a continued word so we have to continue to clean.
