“…She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”
Woman was created to help man but there is nothing subservient about that. God saw that man needed a helper fit for him; he was incomplete without woman, so God created her from man’s rib.
Let me repeat that, so you understand the magnitude of woman’s purpose: Woman was created to help man; man was incomplete without her.
James Brown sang, “This is a man’s world but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl.” There’s no denying that women are the minority when it comes to holding positions of power, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they are often behind the scenes calling the shots. This has been the case since the Garden of Eden; Adam ate the forbidden fruit because Eve suggested it. Of course Eve was encouraged by the serpent to urge Adam into defiance, so this probably isn’t the best anecdote about the influence woman has upon man, but it does illustrate my point. As much as man might try to resist the influence of his counterpart, ultimately he cannot.
