Broken hearts mended over time
Good attitudes diluted with real life
We are all damaged goods
Scraped knees from playground memories
Split pants at the 8th grade dance
We are all damaged goods
Bruised faces hiding in many places
Broken bones given by those at home
We are all damaged goods
Tears cried from friendships that have died
Secrets kept causing nights left un-slept
We are all damaged goods
The beauty in this is just as amazing as you’re first kiss.
For every failed test, you’ve been blessed with a re-test
Whether you choose to believe it, you’ve been damaged, but you’re good so accept it.
