We all have an environment we were raised in and we all are a living, walking, breathing Product. Our influence determines what we do with the product. Being raised in an overpopulated urban community, drugs, killings, fights and drama would be the influence of any young person living in that type of environment. Yet, in reality you ALWAYS have a choice. The mind is a troubling thing to waste; you become what you entertain and find interest in. Even though you may see someone shoot another person it doesn’t mean you need to do it. Just because you see women acting crazy and drama-filled on reality shows doesn’t mean you have to act that way as well. You are your own product, and what you do with it is what matters.
If you’re a positive product and you place it in a negative environment you might save or influence someone to make changes to their life. If you have been through hell and back in your life, it’s not too late for change; with God the impossible is possible. God will use you for his Glory and turn your mess into a message. We all are responsible for our own lives and souls, but God honors a man that can help save another soul.
In the end, every day you are writing a new page, every month is a new chapter and every year is a new series of your book of life. It’s not how the story begins; it’s how the story ends.
PUT THE PRODUCT INTO THE ENVIRONMENT,
DON’T BECOME A PRODUCT OF YOUR ENVIRONMENT.

I thoroughly enjoyed this post and it speaks volumes to how we are influenced by our environments and whether or not we want or choose to be a part of something negative or positive. I mentor at my alma mata and I spoke to 72 incoming freshmen this was something we spoke passionately about. Thank you for this eloquent post and it's one I'll certainly direct students to defer to for reference.
