The Position – Control the Language

Crossbreeding completed, for further severance from their original beginning, we must completely annihilate the mother tongue of both the new nigger and the new mule and institute a new language that involves the new life’s work of both.

You know language is a peculiar institution. It leads to the heart of a people. The more a foreigner knows about the language of another country the more he is able to move through all levels of that society. Therefore, if the foreigner is an enemy of the country, to the extent that he knows the body of the language, to that extent is the country vulnerable to attack or invasion of a foreign culture. For example, if you take a slave, if you teach him all about your language, he will know all your secrets, and he is then no more a slave, for you can’t fool him any longer. For example, if you told a slave that he must perform in getting out “our crops” and he knows the language well, he would know that “our crops” didn’t mean “our crops” and the slavery system would break down, for he would relate on the basis of what “our crops” really meant. So you have to be careful in setting up the new language for the slaves would soon be in your house, talking to you “man to man” and that is death to our economic system. In addition, the definitions of words or terms are only a minute part of the process. Values are created and transported by communication through the body of the language. A total society has many interconnected value system. All the values in the society have bridges of language to connect them for orderly working in the society. But for these language bridges, these many value systems would sharply clash and cause internal strife or civil war, the degree of the conflict being determined by the magnitude of the issues or relative opposing strength in whatever form.

The True Purpose and Essence of a Woman

“…She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”

-Genesis 2:23

Woman was created to help man but there is nothing subservient about that. God saw that man needed a helper fit for him; he was incomplete without woman, so God created her from man’s rib.

Let me repeat that, so you understand the magnitude of woman’s purpose: Woman was created to help man; man was incomplete without her.

James Brown sang, “This is a man’s world but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl.” There’s no denying that women are the minority when it comes to holding positions of power, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they are often behind the scenes calling the shots. This has been the case since the Garden of Eden; Adam ate the forbidden fruit because Eve suggested it. Of course Eve was encouraged by the serpent to urge Adam into defiance, so this probably isn’t the best anecdote about the influence woman has upon man, but it does illustrate my point. As much as man might try to resist the influence of his counterpart, ultimately he cannot.

Risk-Taking, Faith and Expansion

Written By Rae

I want to talk about taking risks and stepping out on faith.

It’s something we all need to do at one point or another in our lives.  But how many of us plan accordingly and step out? How many of us really reach our potential or at least come close to it?  If you’re shaking your head and saying not many, I’d like to start to change your thinking about it – even if it’s a slight shift.   Part of growing and evolving is risking.  We have to take risks.  While we as women are game changers, we’re not always as willing to take a risk in order to better our lives.  We tend to play it very safe.  While I can understand it, I also know we rarely move out of our own way if we don’t.  We’re all normally worried about stability, family, children, parents, spouses, ourselves – and normally we’re last on the list.  But here’s the thing – by sometimes taking a leap, it can benefit not just ourselves, but our loved ones.  By making Your own life better – it improves the life of everyone around you.  Most times – it involves taking a risk and stepping out on faith.

Godly Woman of Purpose, Assurance, Boldness, Strength and Vision

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

II Timothy 1:17 (ESV)

Ladies, today we bring to a close our topic of being a Godly woman. This month we’ve discussed being a woman of Purpose, Assurance, Boldness, Strength, and Vision. Let’s take some time today to reflect on what each of those mean and how we can begin to either apply those to our lives or become better in the areas we need to. The bible says in II Timothy 1:17 (ESV) “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” This scripture lets us know that fear doesn’t come from God but power, love, and self- control does. Therefore, our fear comes from the enemy. Many times our fears causes us to be uncomfortable. Even in our discomfort God wants us to remain self-controlled and not allow fear to take power over our lives. There was a woman who wanted to share her testimony with a group of young girls, but she always feared people judging her, because of her fear she didn’t follow through with ministering to those young girls. The down fall to that was, she not only allowed fear to take power but she also missed an opportunity to witness to someone. That someone she missed out on witnessing to may have been experiencing something similar to what she went through. Don’t allow fear to keep you content with the old you. Know that with God all things are possible and we can be confident in knowing that through Christ we are bold and strong.

Words of Encouragement: Godly Woman of Vision

Godly Woman of Vision

“Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.”

Proverbs 29:18 (ESV)
Hello ladies, I am blessed to be back and speak to you once again about being a Godly woman. Today we’ll discuss a Godly Woman of Vision. As we discussed before, we should be women of God who seek the Lord through spending time in prayer, fasting, and studying the word. When we make time for God and seek His counsel concerning our lives we will begin to see how He will order our footsteps. The bible says in Proverbs 29:18 (ESV) “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.” This scripture lets us know that without the vision (the plan God gives us) for our lives we really have no sense of direction, but when we keep the law (God’s word) we will be blessed because of it. A Godly woman desires vision from God and seeks Him for the route to fulfilling the vision He has given her.
