Realme may have gone too ambitious with the naming, and it seems more of a Realme X7 Pro Plus. The company will unveil the Realme X7 series and Narzo 30 phones, in addition to the Realme 8 series. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max will hit around 400 nits at maximum brightness indoors but ramps the display up to 594 nits in bright conditions, according to our colorimeter. I would pick the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s version of black any day over this. Still, if I were asked to nitpick, I would have liked it more had Xiaomi not opted for a Mi 10T-like piano black finish on the unit I have for review. For more details and download links, head here.

MIUI still has a few pre-installed apps, and you’ll need to be a bit careful not to install more during the setup process. We’ve had to pinch ourselves a few times over the cost of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. It is one of the very few companies out there that take feedback very seriously and, in most cases, does not make the same mistake twice. The Mi 11X is dust and splash resistant with an official IP rating which is always a nice thing to have. While it’s great that Xiaomi has been able to pack dual speakers – and an “actual” stereo setup at that – in the Mi 11X, along with an IR blaster, a headphone jack would have just made this thing blow competition out since everything else about this phone is just peak excess when it comes to media consumption. I am, of course, talking about that big, beautiful screen.

I checked out both finishes and found that fingerprints were a bit of a problem in both cases. The use of plastic helps Xiaomi keep the price and the weight of the phone in check. The phone is also IP53-rated, which makes it dust and splash-resistant. The Mi 11X starts at Rs 29,999 for a variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. 03:51 pm (IST): The European variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is now receiving the stable beta MIUI 12.5 update. A small point to note here is that the charger has a normal USB port rather than a USB Type-C one, as seen on the OnePlus nine and OnePlus 9 Pro.
